FilaSpool does not collect any personal information. The app does not require an account, does not use analytics, and does not transmit any usage data to our servers.
The following data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's secure storage and never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it:
FilaSpool includes an optional feature that analyzes slicer screenshots to extract print details. This feature is entirely opt-in and requires you to provide your own API key for one of the supported providers.
When you use this feature, your screenshot image is sent directly from your device to the AI provider you have selected. FilaSpool does not route, store, or see this data. Please review the privacy policy of your chosen provider:
FilaSpool may request access to your device's camera and photo library to let you attach photos to print jobs and to scan slicer screenshots for the optional AI print detail extraction feature. Photos are saved to your device's local storage only and are never uploaded to any server by FilaSpool. Camera and photo library access is only used when you explicitly initiate a photo action within the app.
FilaSpool uses your device's NFC reader to read and write filament spool tags. NFC tag data is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted anywhere.
If you attach photos to print jobs, those images are saved to your device's local storage. They are not uploaded to any server. If you use the Export Backup feature, photos are not included in the backup file.
The Export Backup feature generates a JSON file containing your inventory and print job data. This file is shared using the standard iOS share sheet — you control where it goes. FilaSpool does not send it anywhere automatically.
FilaSpool does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
